I've thought of adding a can of corn to it as well. I've had cornbread that way before and love it.

It'd even better if you add a can of drained corn OR replace the water and milk with creamed corn!

My roommate used to make this recipe for me in college! I still make it to this day! What a DELICIOUS recipe! I always serve it with mashed potatoes (and pour the remaining sauce over the potatoes) and steamed broccoli.

Enjoy

My brother makes the best and most fluffiest corn bread from the Jiffy box mix. He told me he just adds extra flour, sugar, egg, and milk but every time I try this it doesn't turn out half as good as his. So I definitely will give this a try it sounds like it will give me the same sweet, fluffy cornbread my brother makes without having to guess how much of this and that to use. Thank you for sharing!

This dish is a favorite with everyone we've shared it with! It's easy to make and has a fresh, different taste.

Although the recipe says to break this into two steps, I actually had it completely made the night before. A couple of hours before 'delivery time' the next day, I pulled out the baking dishes and warmed up the oven. I cooked all four dishes for about an hour at 375. I should have covered them with foil, though, because doubling the baking time caused the top noodles to dry out a little bit.

The three of us in our family are loving being part of the dinner group. Our son is 23 and is coming home on his dinner break at 5:30 so he can eat with us when our dinner is delivered. We love trying new dishes or twists on favorite dishes that others are cooking. We love having a home cooked meal each night. I love knowing what we are eating four nights a week. It is great and we are happy to be part of this new experience.
